2nd Annual SFB FOXSI Symposium 2013
The 2nd Annual SFB FOXSI Symposium was held from
September 18th to 20th 2013 at the Conference Center Burg Schaining (Austria)
The symposium started on Wednesday and finished on Friday morning.
This time the lectures were mainly held by the PIs and the Young Scientists. Three invited presentations were given by distinguished professors: Prof. Ib Chorkendorff (DTU Physics, Department of Physics, Denmark), Prof. Wolf Widdra (Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Institute of Physics, Germany) and Prof. Geoff Thornton (UCL Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, London).
1st COST Action-Meeting "Reducible oxide chemistry, structure and functions" Working Groups Meeting 1/3
About 60+ scientists were expected at the COST-Meeting "Reducible oxide chemistry, structure and functions" on 18 April 2013 and 19 April 2013 at the Vienna University of Technology (Prechtlsaal). Local organization of Prof. Günther Rupprechter.

1st Annual SFB FOXSI Symposium 2012
The 1st Annual SFB FOXSI Symposium was held from
September 26th to 28th 2012 at the Conference Center Burg Schaining (Austria).
The Symposium started on Wednesday noon and finished on Friday morning.
A bus left on Wednesday at approx. 9 am from the University and returned on Friday after lunch.
Two invited presentations were given by distinguished professors: Prof. Peter Blaha (Vienna University of Technology, Austria) and Prof. Jürgen Behm (University Ulm).
1st SFB PhD meeting 2012
The SFB PhD meeting 2012 took place on May 11, 2012 at the "Heinz Parkus lecture room" (HS8) at the main building of Vienna University of Technology. Up to 40 participants attended the meeting.

Two invited presentations were given by distinguished professors: Prof. Jürgen Janek (Justus-Liebig-Univ. Gießen, Gießen, Germany) and Prof. Robert Schlögl (FHI Berlin, Germany). The main part of the meeting consisted of the progress reports given by the PhD students of FOXSI. During the poster session and coffee breaks the participants exchanged ideas and discussed about their talks and posters.
Kick-off-Meeting of SFB FOXSI at Vienna University of Technology
The Kick-off meeting of the Special Research Program (SFB)
F45 Functional Oxide Surfaces and Interfaces FOXSI
was held on September 22nd and 23rd 2011 at the main building of Vienna University of Technology.
- The meeting took place at Prechtl Saal and Hörsaal 7 at the main building of Vienna University of Technology with up to 50 participants.
The meeting was opened by the Rector of TU Vienna, Prof. Sabine Seidler, and the Vice Rector of Research, Prof. Johannes Fröhlich, as well as the speaker of the SFB, Prof. Günther Rupprechter. Three invited lectures were presented by internationally renowned scientists: Prof. Wandelt (Univ. Bonn, Wroclaw, Rome), Prof. Pacchioni (Univ. Milano-Bicocca, and Prof. Netzer (Univ. Graz). The Principal Investigators as well as Early Stage Researchers from all 11 Project Parts of the SFB provided progress reports on their work since starting the research program on March 15th, 2011.
